If you're breathing they'll let you inDec 27 2007Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
If you're breathing they'll let you in. The acceptance rate used to be low, around the 45% are, but it's since raised to at least 85%. They want your money. Understand that. SCAD has the highest paid president (Paula Wallace) out of any other United States college/university. Wallace makes about 1.5 million dollars a year. Take that into consideration when you think that since it's a not-for-profit school they will be focused on educating you well.

It is not difficult to get in unless youDec 13 2007Fine Arts - Painting/Sculpture/Photography/etc
It is not difficult to get in unless you are going for a graduate degree. SCAD seems to have the policy of "let anybody in but fail half of them by the 1st quarter" The freshman classes are huge and then one by one drops out.
ACT: 30 SAT: 1280 Female
I was a very active member of my theatreOct 26 2007Perfomance Arts
I was a very active member of my theatre department and I had a lot to show in a porfolio. I recommend keeping up a good portfolio and of course good grades and test scores. SCAD gave me a pretty good combined scholarship for my test scores and portfolio.

For people concerned about financial aid(which I was), be aware it's hard to get a lot of money out of these people. Really be aware of the specifications and deadlines for their scholarships so you can get the most money possible.
ACT: 30 SAT: 2195 Female
